Site Preparation Requirements in Perrysville, OH, and Beyond

Building Site Prep for the best satisfaction of our customers. We recommend a 4”to 6” thick well compacted level gravel pad 2’ bigger than building dimensions to set your building level and keep it level for years to come.

Foundation Options for Uneven or Level Ground

To accommodate uneven ground a frame can be built out of pressure treated 4 x 4’s, 6 x 6’s or any treated landscape timber or retaining wall blocks, a solid concrete pad is also a very good option. The customer may also choose to set the building on concrete blocks. These need to be 8” x 8” x 16” hollow blocks, 4” x 8” x 16” solid blocks with possibly some 2” & 1” thick solid blocks for shimming and leveling of the building. These blocks need to be supplied by the customer & have them at the set-up site prior to the building delivery, unless other arrangements have been made with the dealer or trucker.

Proper Block Spacing and Building Support Guidelines

The spacing for the blocks is 5 ft to 6 ft apart under each runner the full length of the building, for example a 16’ building would have 4 blocks under each runner. Anchors are not included with your building purchase, but can be purchased as an option or you can purchase them thru Amazon, Tractor Supply, Rural King, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. Before digging a foundation or installing a ground anchor you must first contract Ohio Utility Protection Services OUPS, you can do this by visiting their website; Ohio811.org or by calling 1-800-362-2764 or 811 48 hours in advance of digging or anchoring your building.
